University Settlement provides a free after school program in our building Monday-Friday, from 2:20-5:20, for students in grades K-5.
The program fosters social, emotional, physical, moral and cognitive development through creative, project-based learning. The program emphasizes literacy and education, providing homework help, tutoring, and the opportunity to use reading and writing as tools for exploration. In addition, they offer a range of enriching experiences, including:
- Visual Arts
- Community Service
- A nutritious dinner
They also have a program during school holidays, filling potentially idle hours with enriching recreational and educational activities that might otherwise be unavailable to the youth we serve.
